English: Dean E. Hess in the cockpit of his F-51D, which is named Per Fidem Volo from his P-47 in World War II, wearing a U.S. Navy style helmet. Despite date this picture taken isn't predominantly, his autobiographic writing indicate it late March 1951 through Battle Hymn, 1957. the Daejeon Airstrip became park around Daejeon Cityhall in 1985.
