Summary

Description
English: This classical statue of David is a copy of Michelangelo's masterpiece which stands in the academy of fine arts in Florence, Italy. This particular copy by the founder Angelus & Sons was purchased at the Paris Exposition in 1900 and gifted to the City of Buffalo Historical Society by Andrew Langdon. A bronze replica of David by Florentine founder Clemente Papi is located in the Piazzetta Michelangelo in Florence, while a replica by the Fondaria Artistica of Rome is located in Sioux Falls, SD.
