Description
English: A popular Welsh language illustrated periodical that published poetry and articles on literature, current affairs and prominent Welshmen. The periodical was edited by the journalist John Evans Jones (Y Cwilsyn Gwyn, 1839-1893). Originally a monthly periodical, it was published fortnightly in September 18897 and weekly in October 1879, before reverting to being a monthly the following month.
Cymraeg: Cylchgrawn darluniedig poblogaidd, Cymraeg ei iaith, a oedd yn cyhoeddi barddoniaeth ac erthyglau ar lenyddiaeth, materion cyfoes a Chymry amlwg. Golygwyd y cylchgrawn gan y newyddiadurwr John Evans Jones (Y Cwilsyn Gwyn, 1839-1893). Yn wreiddiol yn gylchgrawn misol, daeth yn un pythefnosol yn Medi 1879, yn un wythnosol yn Hydref 1879, cyn dychwelyd i fod yn un misol yn Nhachwedd 1879.
