Summary[edit]

Space time plot of two colliding dissipative solitons in the cubic-quintic complex Ginzburg-Landau equation, generated by Dr. Hendrik U. Boedeker(June 2007).

The system used was

with parameters d_r = 0.5, d_i = 1.0, l_r = -0.1, c_r = 1.8, c_i = 1.0, q_r = -0.8, q_i = -0.1, no-flux boundary conditions. The initial phase difference between the dissipative solitons is π/4, a finite element code was used for the simulation.
