Object history
Deutsch: Der Wellenpfahl stellt den Main dar, der durch das Gemeindegebiet fließt. Die Buchstaben Cl mit den darüber stehenden Sternen ist dem Wappen des Humanisten Conrad Celtis entnommen, der 1459 in Wipfeld geboren wurde und als berühmtester Bürger der Gemeinde gilt. Als erster Deutscher erhielt er von Kaiser Friedrich III. die Dichterkrone. Die Farben Silber und Rot weisen auf die einstige Zugehörigkeit zum Hochstift Würzburg hin.
