Deutsch: Der Gemeinde Windeck ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Köln vom 04. Mai 1972 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens verliehen worden. „Das Gemeindewappen zeigt oben in Silber (weiß) einen schreitenden, blau gekrönten, -bewehrten und –bezungten Löwen; unten in Blau einen silbernen (weißen) Mann im Harnisch, einen silbernen (weißen) und gold (gelb)-schäftigen Streithammer schwingend.“ Das Wappen wurde vom ehemaligen Amt Dattenfeld/Rosbach übernommen. Der bergische Löwe weist auf die frühere Zugehörigkeit Windecks zum Herzogtum Berg hin. Dar untere Teil zeigt einen Ritter. Das Wappen entstammt einem Siegel von 1557.
English: „The upper part shows the lion of Berg, as the area belonged historically to the county of Berg. The lower part shows a knight. The arms are based on the seal of the village from 1557. Most of the villages in the county Berg had their own seals, with the lion in the upper part and a local symbol in the lower part. The knight is derived from the older arms of the area, which showed a miner with a hammer. Mining has been of great importance for the area for many centuries.
