| Object history |
Deutsch: Der schwarze Wellenbalken im Schildhaupt redet für den Ortsnamen, der von der Schwarzen Ache abgeleitet ist. Der bärtige Männerrumpf, ein sog. Heiden- oder Türkenkopf (wohl in Erinnerung an die Teilnahme an Kreuzzügen), stammt aus dem alten Wappen der 1602 ausgestorbenen Freiherren von Degenberg, die erst von ihrer nahe Schwarzach gelegenen Burg Degenberg (1469 zerstört) und danach von ihrem Schloss in Schwarzach ihre ausgedehnten, zeitweise sogar reichsfreien Besitzungen verwalteten. Die grüne Ähre erinnert daran, dass in Schwarzach seit 1545 die älteste und lange Zeit einzige Weißbierbrauerei Altbayerns bestand, die über Jahrhunderte den Münchner Hof versorgte. Schwarzach wurde 1951 zum Markt erhoben. |
