Object history
Deutsch: In Schmiechen findet sich vom 12. Jahrhundert bis 1608 eine gleichnamige ortsadlige Familie. Diese führte seit 1296 den hermelinbesetzten, gekrönten und mit einem Federbusch besteckten Stulphut im Siegel. Derartige Hüte trug der Adel gern bei festlichen Anlässen in mittelalterlicher Zeit. In älteren Wappenbüchern sind auch die Schildfarben des Familienwappens Silber und Blau überliefert. Beide Elemente, die Farbe und die Darstellung des Stulphutes, erinnern an die Herren von Schmiechen.
