Object history
Deutsch: Bis zum Ende der Feudalzeit war Rech reichsunmittelbare Besitzung der Herzöge von Arenberg. Es gehörte in der Herrschaft Saffenburg zum Herzogtum Arenberg Als Hinweis auf die Reichsunmittelbarkeit von Rech ist im oberen Schildteil des Gemeindewappens der wachsende Reichsadler aufgenommen.

Die Herzoge von Arenberg , denen die reichsunmittelbare Besitzung Rech gehörte, führen als Schildfiguren in Rot drei (2:1) goldene Mispelblüten mit blauen Butzen.

Als Hinweis auf die ehemals Arenberg´sche Zugehörigkeit sind im unteren Schildteil des Wappens die drei Mispelblüten aufgenommen.
