Object history
Deutsch: Das Wappen der Ortsgemeinde enthält eine in Gold gestützte rote Spitze, bedeckt mit einem Adler in verwechselten Farben. Der Adler verweist auf die Familie derer von Koberstein, die von Kobern an der Mosel stammen und die wohl 1358 Burg Koberstein, heute das zur Ortsgemeinde Obererbach gehörende Hofgut Koberstein, erbauten. Die Familie führte ein Wappen mit Adler. Dieses wurde als Gemeindewappen übernommen, allerdings mit den Farben der Grafschaft Sayn / Altenkirchen. Durch die gestürzte rote Spitze erhält das Wappen eine Dreiteilung. Dies dokumentiert die Dreigliedrigkeit der Gemeinde mit den Ortsteilen Obererbach, Niedererbach und Hachsen.
