Object history Das Wappen entspricht einem 1536 geschaffenen, zu 1583 überlieferten und seitdem unverändert geführten Siegel. Es weist in der oberen Schildhälfte Kurpfalz als Ortsherren aus, in der untern stellen die Schilfkolben sicherlich eine Namensdeutung als Ableitung aus Moor-feld dar. Das Wappen wurde vom Ministerium des Innern, Koblenz genehmigt.
