Object history
Deutsch: Immerath gehörte über Jahrhunderte hinweg zum Kurtrierischen Amt Daun. Die Kurtrierische Zugehörigkeit wird durch das im vorderen Wappenteil dargestellte Balkenkreuz symbolisiert. Nachweislich gibt es in Immerath Funde, die auf eine römische Besiedlung, unter anderem Mauerreste einer römischen Villa, hinweisen. Hierfür ist die blaue Urne ins Wappen aufgenommen worden. Die eingeschobene grüne Spitze weist auf die landschaftlich reizvolle Umgebung des Dorfes hin, die darin abgebildete schwarz/silberne Kapelle versinnbildlicht die oberhalb des Dorfes auf markanter Höhe gelegene Dreifaltigkeitskapelle.
