„The lion is the lion of the County of Jülich, to which the city historically belonged. The arms are based on a 14th century seal of the town."
Deutsch: „In Gold (Gelb) ein steigender linksgerichteter schwarzer Löwe, sich an einem roten Turm mit blauem Dach, auf dessen Spitze über einer goldenen (gelben) Kugel ein schwarzes Kreuz ragt, festhaltend. Die Symbole stehen auf einem nach rechts hin auslaufenden nicht mit dem Schildfuß verbundenen Hügel aus blauen Steinen (heraldisch nicht korrekt). Das Oberwappen bildet eine dreitürmige silberne (weiße) Mauerkrone.“ Das Wappen basiert auf einem Siegel aus dem 14. Jahrhundert. Der Jülicher Löwe hält den Dülkener Stadtturm fest mit seinen Pranken. Die dreitürmige Stadtmauer weißt Dülken als Kleinstadt aus. |
