Object history
Deutsch: Auf Bitten des Freiherrn Valentin von Berlichingen, damaligen Besitzers von Dörzbach, verlieh Kaiser Rudolf II. der Gemeinde am 27. Juni 1583 das Marktrecht und ein Wappen, das das berlichingensche Rad mit dem Wappen des ausgestorbenen Ortsadelsgeschlechts (gestückter Balken) verband. Nach dem Verkauf des Dorfes an die Herren von Eyb im Jahre 1601 wurde das Rad in der oberen Schildhälfte durch die Eybschen Muscheln ersetzt. 1931 nahm die Gemeinde jedoch das Rad zusätzlich in die untere blaue Schildhäfte auf, wobei die eybschen und berlichingenschen Wappenfiguren jeweils auf einen falsch tingierten Schildgrund zu stehen kamen. Nach der Berichtigung ergab sich das jetzige, vom Innenministerium am 2. Februar 1970 bei der Flaggenverleihung bestätigte Wappen.
