pleasing prospectiveview along Parliament-street, Essex-bridge, andCapel-street. The form of this beautiful edificeis nearly a square of one hundred feet, havingthree of its sides of Portland stone, in theCorinthian order, crowned by a dome in thecentre of the building. The north and westparts are nearly similar in appearance, eachhaving a range of six columns, with their cor-respondent pilasters and entablatures; but theformer has a noble pediment highly decorated.In this front, between the columns, are threeentrances, with elegant iron gates hung to Ioniccolumns, over which are the windows, richlyornamented by architraves, &c. A fine balus-trade interrupted only by the pediment, runsround the top of the building. A large flightof steps leads to the entrance, round which is ahandsome iron railing. The interior of this edifice possesses greatarchitectural beauty; twelve composite flutedcolumns support the dome, which form a circular IftltittHil ^kitk^JAH i^-*-*-***-«i tkK*m$.f£T
