Drawing of ground glass joints with a slight conical taper used for making laboratory glassware. An inner (male) joint is shown on the left side and an outer (female) joint is shown on the right side. The ground glass surfaces are shown with gray shading. By putting them together in the direction of the arrows, they can be joined, usually with a little grease spread on the ground glass surfaces. The inner joint is inserted into the outer joint.

If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}. It is recommended to name the SVG file “Conical Ground Glass Joints.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
