Object history
English: Coat of arms of the Danish town Næstved. The keys are known from city seals after 1280 and most likely refer to the town's former St. Peter's priory. The crown was added to the seal in the late 13th or early 14th century. The waves symbolise the Suså river.
Dansk: Næstveds byvåben. Nøglerne er kendt fra segl siden 1280, og refererer sandsynligvis til byens Skt. Peders kirke. Kronen blev tilføjet til seglet i slutningen af det 13. eller starten af det 14. århundrede. Bølgerne symboliserer Susåen.
