Deutsch: „Das Staatswappen der Tschechoslowakischen Sozialistischen Republik bildet einen roten Schild in der Form eines Hussitenschildes mit einem fünfzackigen Stern im oberen Teil, auf dem sich ein weißer, doppelschwänziger Löwe befindet, der auf der Brust ein rotes Schildchen mit der blauen Silhouette des Berges Krivan und mit einem goldfarbenen Freiheitsfeuer trägt. Die Zeichnung des Wappens ist golden.“

English: “The state coat of arms of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic is formed by a red escutcheon in the shape of a Husite shield with a five-tipped star in the upper part, on which there is a white two-tailed lion bearing on its chest a small red shield with the outline of the Krivan (mountain) in blue and (the flames of) a signal-fire in gold. The drawing of the coat of arms is in gold.”
