Description
English: The historical coat of arms of Kolozs county.
Magyar: Kolozs vármegye címere.
Kolozs vármegye címere csücskös talpú pajzs, melyet barokk stílusú motívumok foglalják keretbe. A címerpajzs hasítással és vágással negyedelt.
  • Az első mező bal szélén előtűnő felhőkből emberi kar nyúlik ki, pergamenre írt királyi kiváltságot – privilégiumot – tartalmazó, zsinóron függő, pecsétes oklevelet tartva.
  • A második és harmadik mezőt egy-egy hullámos pólya osztja. A második negyed hullámos pólyája a Szamos-folyót jelképezi, amelyből szőlőkaróra felfutó leveles, fürtös szőlőtőke emelkedik ki, míg a harmadik mezőben a hullámos pólyából kiemelkedő gabonakéve a föld termékenységét szimbolizálja.
  • A negyedik negyedben a Kolozsmonostori Konventre utalva egytornyú templom lebeg zárt ablakokkal, tetején latin keresztekkel.
  • A pajzsot nyitott, rubinnal, zafírral ékesített levélkorona díszíti.
  • A pajzstartók talapzaton állnak. Jobbról Pallasz Athéné, a bölcsesség istennője áll szegélyezett és díszített ókori mellpáncélban, földi érő ruhában és köpenyben, fején tollas sisakot, lábán sarut visel. Fegyverei lándzsa és nyolcszögű, szegecselt, domborműves pajzs. Balról Mars – a római mitológiában a háború istene – áll szegélyezett ókori mellpáncélban, tunikában, köpenyben. Fején tollas sisakot, lábán lábvédőt visel, bal kezében hadvezéri jogart tart. Lábánál ágyúgolyók, katonai dob, zászló és lándzsa látható.
A comitatus a 11–12. században alakulhatott meg, valószínűleg Kolozsvár székhellyel. A 19. században területét véglegesen megállapította az 1877. évi I. törvénycikk, amelynek értelmében a vármegyéhez tartozott az addig Kolozs vármegye kilenc községének kivételével a régi Doboka vármegye 33 községe és Kolozsvár. Kolozs vármegye címeres pecsétjét Mária Terézia adományozta 1755-ben.

Likewise, the Office will not register a government edict issued by any foreign government or any translation prepared by a government employee acting within the course of his or her official duties."
