| Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | The image serves to support discussion of three "notable contributions" made by Wilkes in the field of album and concert-poster art design. In the section dedicated to these three works, text discusses Wilkes' involvement in the 1971 Bangladesh relief project and his work on a still from news-agency footage to create the album cover. Wilkes' description of selecting and then airbrushing the image is quoted in the article, and comments on the effectiveness of his design, from Goldmine critic Matt Hurwitz and from Beatles author, collector and compiler Bruce Spizer, appear in the text also. A further point is made by film-maker Jonathan Taplin, another participant in Harrison's Bangladesh aid project, regarding the uncompromising message of the image, such that Capitol Records were reluctant to use it on the US release. |
