This pair of buildings, the nearest one located at 1238 NW Glisan St. and the adjoining taller one in the background at 1238 NW Flanders St., were built circa 1910 and 1911, respectively. They are known collectively as the Oregon Transfer Buildings and are classified as a primary contributing property in the NRHP-listed Portland 13th Avenue Historic District. They were used by the Oregon Transfer Company and other tenants from c. 1910 to 1958.
