Summary
| Description | Chicago trolley bus 9728, a 1952 Marmon-Herrington TC49, making a stop on route 85-Central Avenue in 1968. It is southbound on Central Avenue at Lawrence Avenue. Chicago's trolley bus system closed in 1973, but this vehicle and more than 100 others from the Chicago Transit Authority's trolley bus fleet were then sold to Guadalajara, Mexico, for use on a new trolleybus system that opened there in late 1976. |
