Summary

Description Chevrolet Camaro Group C. This is the car driven by Kevin Bartlett and sponsored by the Channel Nine Network. Bartlett was supposed to share the car in the 1979 James Hardie 1000 with Bob Forbes, but was injured prior to the event so the car was driven by John McCormack instead. They did not finish the race due to mechanical issues. In 1980 Bartlett finished second in the Australian Touring Car Championship in the car. The car was on Pole Position for the 1980 and 1981 James Hardie 1000 races shared with Bob Forbes and finished 11th and 13th respectively. In the cars most recognised outing Bartlett shared the car in the 1982 event with Colin Bond. The car exited the race in spectacular fashion after a rear tyre blew at Reid Park and the car flipped before sliding to a halt on it's roof, earning it the nickname of the Channel 6 Camaro. Taken at the Top Gear Live show at Acer Arena, in the Olympic Precinct at Homebush in Sydney.
