Summary

Description
English: The shrubby yellow mangrove (Ceriops australis) reaches the southern extent of its range in Moreton Bay, Queensland, of which Bramble Bay is a part. It does not tolerate strong wave action, high winds or strong currents, but prefers drier sites, with high salinity on the landward side of the coastal mangrove strip and bordering salt pans. Yellow mangrove produces viviparous seedlings that disperse far and wide on the waters of river, creek and sea.
