English: Reproduction of an original illustration in the Lienzo de Tlaxcala in the Glasgow Manuscript, a Mexican 16th-century manuscript that contains the work Descripción de la ciudad y provincia de Tlaxcala (Description of the city and province of Tlaxcala) by Diego Muñoz Camargo. The illustration shows the moment Hernán Cortés, captain of the Spanish troops that entered Mexico in 1519, was captured by the Mexica in the neighborhood of Copolco during a battle in the Siege of Tenochtitlan, in June 1521.
