Nederlands: Werpmes voor jacht op antilopen (casse-tète), Mekambo, Batnèle-stam, moderne imitalie? (nr. schenker 486)
Soortgelijke messen werden door de Kota-hoofden en rituele specialisten van het Mungala geheime genootschap gedragen. Het mes is vanwege de vorm en rituele functie nauw verbonden met de bekende Kota koperen figuren die aan een bundel relikwieën wordt gebonden en op het graf van een hoofd wordt geplaatst (Spring, 1993:32). Onderhavig exemplaar ziet er erg nieuw uit. |
