For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB-Zimmermann-4-12-81-hü-Berlin: S-Bahnhöfe- Den Bahnhof Ostkreuz durchfahren 94 Prozent aller Benutzer der Stadtbahn oder steigen hier um. Das Besondere an diesem Knotenpunkt ist die Konstruktion mit vier Bahnsteigen in zwei "Etagen". (siehe dazu auch die Fotos Z1204-16 u. 17N) Durchschnittlich benutzen 800000 Menschen täglich die S-Bahn. Auf der über 300 km langen Strecke gibt es mehr als 150 Bahnhöfe. Die S-Bahnzüge legen täglich rund 80000 km zurück." |
