For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild-23.8.1961-Feierlicher Appell der Berliner Kampfgruppen. Die Bürger der Hauptstadt und mit ihnen führende Vertreter der Partei der Arbeiterklasse statteten am 23.8.1961 auf einem Appell der Berliner Kampfgruppen den Angehörigen der Arbeiterbataillone den Dank von Millionen Bürgern der DDR für ihre Einsatzbereitschaft ab. Die Kämpfer in den steingrauen Uniformen waren im Herzen der Hauptstadt, auf der Großbaustelle zwischen dem Strausberger Platz und dem Alex, unter den roten Fahnen der Arbeiterklasse aufmarschiert. UBz: Panzerspähwagen während der Parade. |
