Siegerin einer Journalistenumfrage der Internationalen Sportkorrespondenz in Stuttgart nach den besten deutschen Sportlerinnen und Sportlern des Jahres 1960 wurde die zweifache Goldmedaillengewinnerin von Rom im Kunst- und Turmspringen, die DDR Sportlerin Ingrid Krämer von der westdeutschen Fecht-Olympiasiegerin Heide Schmid (links).
