Zentralbild-Sturm 24.1.1956 Verleihung der Lessing-Medaille im Ministerium für Kultur Am 24.1.1956 wurde der Lessingpreis 1956 an die Herren Dr. Peter Hacks und Fritz Erpenbeck durch den Minister für Kultur, Dr. h.c. Johannes R. Becher, verliehen. Zum ersten Mal konnte dieser Preis, der aus zwei Teilen, dem dramatischen und dem literaturkritischen, besteht, voll verliehen werde. Dr. Peter Hacks erhielt für seine Werke "Eröffnung des indischen Zeitalters" und "Die Schlacht bei Lobesitz" den dramatischen Lessingpreis 1956, und Fritz Erpendeck erhielt für seine hervorragenden Leistungen auf dem Gebiete der Theaterkritik denliterakritischen Lessingpreis 1956.
