For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Zwinge, Getreideernte mit Mähdrescher, Hafer
Zentralbild Wittig-TBD Str.-Kr. 19.8.1953. Ernte an der Demarkationslinie. In der Flur Zwinge, Kreis Worbis, ist durch Grenzbegradigung auch ein 8 ha großes Feld in Besitz der Gemeinde Zwinge übergegangen. Die werktätigen Einzelbauern von Zwinge bearbeiten diesen Acker gemeinsam und hatten ihn in diesem Jahre mit Hafer bestellt. UBz: Hart an der Demarkationslinie arbeitet der Mähdrescherführer Franz Katkowski von der MTS Teistungen mit seinem "Stalinez 4". Interessiert schauen westdeutsche Grenzpolizisten über die Demarkationslinie hinwg zu, wie der uns durch die großzügige Hilfe der Sowjetunion gelieferte "Stalinez 4" arbeitet. |
