DER ERSTE "FORD TAUNUS" LAEUFT VOM BAND

Am 23. November 1948 lief im Rahmen eines schlichten Festaktes in den Koelner Fordwerken der erste "Ford-Taunus 1948" vom Fließband, der gegenüber seinem Vorgänger erhebliche Verbesserungen in der Federung und bezgl. des Motors aufweist. Ein neuer Vergaser hat den Brennstoffverbrauch auf 7,6 Liter fuer den 1,2-Vierzylinder-Reihenmotor herabgesetzt. Bei einer Durchschnittsreisegeschwindigkeit von 85 Kilometern erreicht der neue Ford-Taunus eine Spitzenleistung von 110 Stundenkilometern.
