This is mis-captioned. The weapon is a 14-inch M1910MI disappearing gun at Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, California in 1924. This information is from Coast Defense Journal, Vol. 31, Issue 2, May 2017, which reproduces the photo as published by International News, Los Angeles Bureau.
