English: Commonly interpreted as Briseis and Phoenix (Louvre caption, Beazley); minority opinion: Hecamede mixing kykeon for Nestor (A. Dalby, Siren Feasts, London, 1996, p.151). Tondo of an Attic red-figure cup, ca. 490 BC. From Vulci.
Français : Interprétation courante : Briséis et Phœnix (notice du Louvre, Beazley) ; hypothèse minoritaire : Hécamède préparant du cycéon pour Nestor (A. Dalby, Siren Feasts, Londres, 1996, p. 151). Médaillon d'une coupe attique à figures rouges, v. 490 av. J.-C. Provenance : Vulci.
