Description
Français : Église Saint-Sulpice, Fougères, Ille-et-Vilaine, Bretagne, France. Le chœur a été commencé au XVIè siècle à l'emplacement de l'église primitive, mais la peste et les Guerres de Religion ont ensuite interrompu les travaux. Il a été terminé seulement au XVIIIè siècle dans un style rocaille, grâce à l'initiative de l'abbé Jean Vallée recteur de la paroisse. Celui-ci est enterré au centre, sous une dalle de marbre noir.
English: Church of Saint-Sulpice, Fougères, Ille-et-Vilaine, Bretagne, France. The choir was started in the 16th Century on the site of the early church, but the works were interrupted by the plague and the Wars of Religion. It was finished only in the 18th Century in a rococo style, on the initiative of Jean Vallée priest of the parish, who is burried in the center under a black marble slab.
