• The show began on television in 1961 with Bob Bell as Bozo the Clown; he continued in that role until his retirement in 1984.
• The show was a particular favorite in Chicago; at one time it took 8-10 years for tickets to it. *This local version of the Bozo Show was the longest-running of all. When it left the air in 2001, it was the last Bozo's Circus still on television.
