Summary

Description
English: Blueberry Hill and marine facilities in Valdez, Alaska as it appeared in 1989. There has been quite a bit more development of the area shown since this photo was taken. The hill was originally called Meals Hill, after Valdez businessman Owen Meals, who owned much of the surrounding area prior to the moving of the Valdez townsite following the 1964 Alaska earthquake. The building located atop the hill may be the Meals residence, but I'm not entirely certain of that.
