Summary

Description A blue plaque commemorating Thomas Simpson (1825–1908), a Brighton-based Scottish architect whose works included many schools for the Brighton School Board and Hove School Board. The plaque was unveiled on the exterior of the Connaught Road building of West Hove Infants School in Hove in April 2015. Built in 1882 as Connaught Road School, it was a primary school for 100 years, then became an adult education centre, but is now an infant school. It is Grade II-listed.
