Rationale of fair use for Sink the Bismarck![edit]

1. The image is a montage comparison of the same scene as depicted in the film release of Sink the Bismarck!, originally created by 20th Century Fox, and intended for wide distribution

2. The screenshot from the film is of lower resolution than the original film (copies made from it will be of inferior quality).

3. No free or public domain images have been located for either the film or the comic book.

4. The screenshot and panel capture does not limit the copyright owners' rights to distribute the film in any way.

5. The screenshot and panel capture is being used for informational purposes only, and its use is not believed to detract from the original film in any way.

This image is a screenshot from a copyrighted film, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by the studio which produced the film, and possibly also by any actors appearing in the screenshot. It is believed that the use of a limited number of low-resolution screenshots for critical commentary and discussion of the film and its contents on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, qualifies as fair use under the Copyright law of the United States.
