Summary

Description
English: Last Figure of "Two New Sciences" by Galileo Galilei
Hydrostatic balance
The hydrostatic balance is a tool used both for didactic-demonstrative purposes (for the verification of the Archimedes Principle) and for experimental measurements, that is, to determine the volume and specific gravity of a solid body of any shape. The principle of operation of the hydrostatic scale was described by Galileo in the work The Balance of 1586.(source)
