Summary

Description Coat of Arms of Berne, from the Berner Chronik of Michael Stettler, 1620. At this time, Berne still considered itself part of the Holy Roman Empire, thus adding the Imperial Eagle to its own coat of arms. The combination was called the Bern-Rych.
