Summary

Description
English: Listed transforming station at Landwehrkanal in Berlin-Kreuzberg, Paul-Lincke-Ufer. Built in 1924/28 by Heinrich Müller in expressionistic style. Closed down 1984. The momumental building is called by the Berliners: Cathedral of electricity.
Deutsch: Denkmalgeschütztes ehemaliges Umspannwerk am Paul-Lincke-Ufer 19-22/Ecke Ohlauer Str. 43, am Landwehrkanal in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Gebaut 1924/28 von Hans Heinrich Müller im expressionistischen Stil, versehen mit buntglasierten Eisenklinkern. Stillgelegt 1984. Der monumentale Komplex heißt im Berliner Volksmund Kathedrale der Elektrizität. (Mit Wohnhaus, Transformatoren- und Kühlertrakt, Maschinenhalle, Warte und Schalthaus. Heute Umbau für kulturelle Veranstaltungen und zur Ansiedlung junger Unternehmen, vorwiegend aus dem Medienbereich.)
