Deutsch: Wohnanlage Dudenstraße 12-20 und Methfesselstraße 45/49 in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Der Komplex besteht aus dem vorderen Bauteil an der Dudenstraße, in der auch die Friedrich-von-Raumer-Bibliothek ihren Sitz hat (links), und einem Wohnhochhaus an der Methfesselstraße (im Hintergrund). Die Wohnanlage entstand 1954-1955 nach Plänen von Max Taut, der in den 1920er-Jahren bereits das benachbarte Verbandshaus der Deutschen Buchdrucker erbaut hatte. Die Wohnanlage ist als Baudenkmal gelistet. English: Residential complex Dudenstraße No. 12-20 and Methfesselstraße 45/49 in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The complex consists of the part on Dudenstraße, which also houses the Friedrich von Raumer Library (on the left), and a high-rise apartment building on Methfesselstraße (in the background). The complex was built from 1954 to 1955 to designs by Max Taut, who, in the 1920s, had also built the neighboring Building of the Trade Union of German Bookprinters (Verbandshaus der Deutschen Buchdrucker). The residential complex has been designated as a cultural heritage monument. |
