High Street, Belfast, County Antrim, Northern Ireland


English: Albert Memorial at Queens Square as seen from High Street, looking north-east. Designed in 1865 by William Joseph Barre (died 1867) and possibly also by his chief assistant Charles Acton Sherry (died 1871), and completed in 1869. The statue was sculpted by Samuel Ferres Lynn (1834–1876). The tower is leaning to its southern side. (See DIA record, and C.E.B. Brett, The Buildings of Belfast, p. 40–41.)
