Western Belarusians welcoming the Red Army. 1939. The mixed Russian-Belorussian text reads "Long Live the great theory of Marx, Engels, Lenin-Stalin". Such demonstrations were not spontaneous; they were usually organized by the Communist Party of Byelorussia.
