Fair Use rationale[edit]

1. No free equivalent. The subject is now demolished, and there is only a very small probability that non-copyright photographs of the subject exist.
2. Respect for commercial opportunities. Low-resolution/fidelity is used, thus I believe there is no loss to the copyright holder from its use here.
3. This is to be the only non-free medium to be used in this article.
4. Content. Non-free content meets general Wikipedia content requirements and is encyclopedic.
5. Media-specific policy. The material adheres to Wikipedia's media-specific policy.
6. Significance. The image contributes significantly to an article as the primary subject and is used only in the article namespace

This image is a two-dimensional representation of a building or architectural work which has been destroyed, demolished, or otherwise permanently altered in a way that makes it impossible to take a new photograph serving the same encyclopedic purpose. This image is protected by copyright by the publisher of the destroyed architecture. It is believed that the use of low-resolution versions of such images solely to illustrate the historic appearance of the building in question, where no free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, qualifies as fair use under the copyright law of the United States. Note: If any public domain or freely licensed photograph of the building is discovered or obtained, this image should be deleted and replaced. If the building is out of copyright in its home country or if said photograph was taken in a country which has freedom of panorama for buildings and architectural works which do not restrict commercial use (such as the United States; see here for a full list of which countries are OK), consider uploading to Wikimedia Commons instead, which allows other Wikimedia projects to use the image.
