Summary

Description
English: Reflectivity on the PPI low level of a NEXRAD weather radar on the left and Composite reflectivities on the right. The difference between the two shows precipitation at higher level not reaching the ground. In this case, the notches, at #1, the fuchsia-colored region, visible on the composite image, is all but missing on the base reflectivity. At #2 and #3, show more rain supported by strong updrafts.
