English: Aylesbury High Street Station (remains), with Last Day Rail Tour train. View southward, towards buffer-stops. This terminus of the ex-London & North Western branch from Cheddington was about to be closed to passengers (on 2/2/53), but remained for goods until 2/12/63. This Last Train was arranged by the RCTS (Railway Correspondence & Travel Society), the motive power being ex-London & North Western 'Coal Tank' 2F 0-6-2T No. 58887. |
