The official logo of the City of Auburn, Indiana, USA, is based on the logo of the former Auburn Automobile Company. The company went out of business in the 1930s. The municipality began using the logo in the 1980s. It was formally adopted on April 17, 2007, by the City of Auburn Common Council in Ordinance No. 2007-05, codified as Section 12.03 of the Auburn Code of Ordinances. The ordinance claims no copyright for the logo.
