English: The painting shows a card game at Brøndom's Hotel, in Skagen, Denmark, with P.S. Krøyer (left), Degn Brøndum, and the Swedish painter Julia Stömberg. Palm spent the summers of 1884 and 1885 in Skagen with the Skagen Painters.
